12 May 2016, London: The Dive In Festival for Diversity and Inclusion in Insurance has picked up a prestigious Marketing Week Award in the Diversity Champion category.

At an awards ceremony at The Roundhouse in London, diversity campaigner and host Sir Lenny Henry, presented the award to representatives from Lloyd’s, its agencies and the communications leaders from across the Lloyd’s market who helped steer the marketing and communications for the festival.

Dive In beat off stiff competition from inside the insurance industry in the shape of finalists Aviva and more broadly, the music industry MOBOs. The judges’ citation described the winning entry as “Bold and brave. Dive In ran a prominent event and really made their mark ensuring they are committed for the long term.”

Commenting on the news, Jo Scott, Head of Market Communications and Culture at Lloyd’s said, “We are thrilled to share this outstanding achievement with our communications colleagues and volunteers from across the Lloyd’s market who gave up their time to help make Dive In such a huge success in its very first year. We are also delighted for the agencies who worked so collaboratively to help put it all together from Fantail, Gong Communications, Striker Productions, New Visual and the talented young dancers from the Brit School.”

The Dive In Festival has also been shortlised in 5 other awards: The ENEI Awards, The British Insurance Awards, The Insurance PR & Marketing Awards, the Sabre Awards and The Guardian Sustainable Business Awards.
