This year we marked International Women’s Day by exploring empowering topics such as breaking ‘glass ceilings’, seizing new opportunities at any stage in our careers, and overcoming imposter syndrome. We also focused on how we’re all responsible for creating an inclusive industry where anybody could thrive, whilst managing barriers at different points in their lives. Together, we recognized the importance of allies and the strength we gained from unity.
We were thrilled to have the amazing Anna Whitehouse, also known as ‘Mother Pukka’ (@mother_pukka on Instagram), join as our keynote speaker. Anna was recently named number 10 in the 50 most influential women list by The Independent.
Anna launched the ‘Flex Appeal’ campaign in 2015 to challenge outdated and inflexible working practices that disproportionately affected women. Anna’s campaign evolved into a nationwide movement, culminating in a historic victory in 2024 when the Flexible Working Bill was passed into UK law. Anna is also a Sunday Times best-selling author, weekly radio show and podcast host, as well as a regular contributor to UK national newspapers including The Times, The Guardian, and The Daily Mail.
